This beverage is a key element to long-term digestive health as well as for recovering after bouts of stomach upset due to ingesting harmful foods. Over a year after my son, Parker’s CSID diagnosis, he still was not doing well. I did not understand why removing sugars and starches had not resulted in better progress. After an initial appointment with a homeopathic doctor, I realized that Parker’s body was still in distress. Chlorophyll was a part of a holistic approach that brought balance and healing to his digestive system. Though Parker took a variety of supplements over the course of the next two years, I credit chlorophyll as a major breakthrough in assisting his body in recovering from months of trauma related to eating foods he could not digest (prior to his CSID diagnosis).
I created this “cocktail” as a way to combine his various supplements in a drink form that was fun and easy. The combination of ingredients assist with pH balance needed to eliminate acid reflux issues, sooth irritation in esophagus, stomach and intestines, and reduce malabsorption issues that changes in diet alone may not address. In addition, using lemon or lime juice also assists in breaking down protein in foods and should be served after all meals containing eggs, cheese, poultry, fish or beef.
